Adamstown Square 3

A low rise, high density residential development set within the Adamstown SDZ.

Working with the Project team and South Dublin County Council the development includes a mix of courtyards, pocket parks and homezones. The design brief set an emphasis on community amenities with a focus on slow movement and a ‘greener environment’. This has resulted in a scheme with a street network which promotes pedestrian and cyclist usage, a scheme that is populated by native and naturalised plant and tree species which deliver year-round interest and promotes biodiversity.

Following completion of the project, input by residents has helped in the success of the development. A sense of ownership and community involvement in the maintenance and management of the external areas is apparent across the Alderlie development which enhances the civic quality of life of the residents.
